The Hillbillies play a foot-stomping blend of country rock crossover, bluegrass and Americana. The band enjoys a loyal following on the lively Oxford music scene having had residencies at several of the best music bars in town including The Wheatsheaf and the James Street Tavern
A terrific rhythm section is topped off with banjo, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, guitars, and great vocal harmonies. Repertoire includes Duelling Banjos, Sweet Home Alabama, Folsom Prison Blues, The Drunken Sailor plus some excellent original material.
Essentially a gigging band, songs are developed to be performed with an interactive audience, anywhere. The ‘effervescent’ live shows are all about having fun for both the band and the audience.
